Brunch in Cafe Crispin, East London

London Brunch Cafe Crispin

You know that we love to explore small and famous cafés in London. Well… here we come back again!! This time with one of my favorites (the food was awesome). For this cloudy day in the city of London we decided to cycle to the east part, specifically next to Spitalfields market to try Café Crispin on a Sunday for the first time. Let’s brunch it!

Localization: the address is Pavilion on The Corner, White’s Row, London E1 7NF just a few minutes walking from the famous Spitalfields market and Liverpool Street station.

Times: They open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Design:It is a small place where in summer they enable an awesome terrace to sit and enjoy sunny days in London. Located in a square is a place very popular for its quality dishes. It is very popular in the area and people do not hesitate to stand in line to have lunch/brunch. Even having almost to share a table with the one next door as the spaces between tables are minimal to maximize sales. The design of the place is very elegant and its architecture is magnificent, being all large windows through which light enters even the most cloudy days.

Food:We went on the brunch times so on the menu they did not give us the option for dishes they usually sell at lunch (pasta, meat, grilled vegetables …). We ordered two very different things to compare. In my case I ordered a red lentil and coconut Dalh that was amazing, one of the best I’ve had in the city (it’s a spicy one). On the other hand, Leo opted for a toast with burrata and beans. I must say that we had never been served such tasty beans before, you could tell they were homemade and squeezed all their flavor.

Coffee: It wasn’t the best Flat White, very flat and hidden by the taste of oat milk. But the filter coffee is of very good quality and the notes of flavor are appreciated. For the two courses and the two coffees we paid 23 pounds sterling.

The truth is that in a very nice place, the service is good and the location is wonderful. It is not the typical place that you go for tourists (like the others that I teach you) but if you want to try a good brunch at an average price do not hesitate to visit it.
